Changes in diet and physical activity during the COVID age
Lorencová, Marie ; Sládková, Petra (advisor) ; Svěcená, Kateřina (referee)
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the daily routine of everyone in the Czech Republic, even school-age children, whose daily rhythm has been completely changed due to school closures. Children were left without regular exercise at school and in after-school clubs, they were eating irregularly and with a different food composition, and their sleeping patterns shifted. Many children returned to school fat and physically unfit after the government measures ended. For fat children, this change could have a negative impact on their health. The aim of this study was to obtain information on changes in eating and exercise habits of school-aged children before, during and after the lockdown. The information obtained from each period was compared and evaluated. Another aim was to determine whether the observed group of children had gained weight or not due to the changed daily routine during the covid restrictions, and for those who had gained weight, selected values from blood tests taken by a paediatric and adolescent general practitioner were monitored to see whether the values had moved outside the reference limits. By processing the questionnaire responses, I expect to confirm the three suppositions that children worsened their eating habits during the lockdown in both composition and frequency of...

Šafářová, Jana ; Klenková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Durdilová, Lucie (referee)
In my exam I focus on the occurrence of NKS (communication disorder) in pre-school aged children. I am interested in speech disorders that commonly occur in this age group. Individual disorders describe - how they express themselves and what the individual impact is on the child, whether the child is aware of this disorder and how. Furthermore, I will focus on speech therapy intervention, focus on the way how these children are being treated in nursery schools. Whether the schools have their own speech therapist or if the teachers leave the responsibility of treating this disorder simply to the parents. It also analyze the situation in the first half year of the first class of the primary school. Whether NKS (communication disorder) has the same occurrence or a decrease is rather noticeable.

Postural fuction and motor control in children with poor posture
Pelánková, Zuzana ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Syslová, Jana (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on two conditions that typically occure in childhood - poor posture and developmental coordination disorder. The theoretical part summarizes recent information on these diseases focusing on their etiology, prevalence, prognosis, methods of assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The main aim of the practical part was to evaluate the motor control of treated children with poor posture in comparison with children from the general population. The research group (13 children, mean age 9.85 years) and control group (16 children, mean age 9.94 years) were assessed using Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2. We found no significant difference between motor skills of treated children with poor posture and motor skills of children representing the general population. We also analysed whether treated children with poor posture reported less physical activity compared with the general population. By gathering data from questionnaires (completed by parents of tested children), no statistically significant difference was found. The difference was neither detected in test of posture and postural functions, where we investigated how poor posture of treated children can influence the results of the test.
